OUTREACH AND MISSION MINISTRY

This ministry’s purpose is to visit various communities to   share the Gospel, witness to those who are lost, and win souls for Christ. Our goal is to provide hope and healing   from HSBC to the ends of the earth.  We also visit the sick and shut-in and   assist individuals and families in need.

WOMEN MINISTRY aka OPEN HEARTS MINISTRY

The purpose of this ministry is to edify and equip every woman   on the journey of faith to become true worshippers that exalt the name of the   Lord. Women of Historic Springfield   hold periodic activities, study sessions, and promote community base projects   for those in need. Quarterly CPR sessions are facilitated to  speak to the hearts of women and promote spiritual growth for HSBC and women in the community

 HEALTH & WELLNESS MINISTRY
This ministry’s purpose is to provide education on health-related issues to   heighten awareness  & knowledge that will promote a healthier lifestyle for   HSBC members and our community.
 

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
  This ministry’s purpose is to help everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and at   peace by giving a warm smile, handshake, kind word, or hug.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY
  This ministry’s purpose is to build faith in God through spirit-filled prayer   and the Word of God and to experience the   power of the believer through anointed prayer.
 

PRISON MINISTRY

This Ministry’s purpose is to evangelize men and women behind prison walls to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives.

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY

The purpose of this Ministry is to provide timely and safe transportation to church service for members in need. Certified drivers are recruited to provide transportation for Church outings and transport members to social activities

MEN’S MINISTRY – BUILDING ALL MEN (BAM)

2018: The purpose of this Ministry is to unite the men of HSBC in Brotherhood and Fellowship and in the Spirit of the Lord. They also develop strong leaders for express purposes of elevating God’s Kingdom through His Church.

TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION MINISTRY

This ministry’s purpose is to provide audio-visual assistance for all church-wide programs and functions as well as maintain all audio and video materials for duplication and sales.

MUSIC MINISTRY

This ministry’s purpose is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by utilizing and embracing varied expressions of worship with music.

COMMUNICATION MINISTRY

This ministry’s purpose is to publish weekly news articles to reflect current events and upcoming church activities.

USHER’S MINISTRY

This ministry facilitates the orderly flow of service by maintaining the proper decorum during worship service. They assist in greeting and assisting members and visitors during worship or special programming. We also provide minor first aid as required.

SWAGG MINISTRY (Youth and Teen Ministry)

The mission and purpose of this ministry is to provide youths/teens with the skill set to operate as a Kingdom level ministry that nurtures dreams, build self-esteem, and restores kings and queens. This ministry fosters spiritual growth in our children and youth. We provide a vast array of programs such as tutoring, SAT Prep, Mentoring, Body Image, Counseling, Self-Esteem building, and character development.

Our youth engage in ongoing activities such as youth conferences, retreats,  lock-ins, Six Flags trips, skating and bowling parties, etc.

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

The purpose of this ministry is to facilitate the process of young adults helping each other recognize and acknowledge their gifts, abilities, and talents and offers ways within the community to use them for God's purpose and good work.

The Young Adult Ministry’s mission is to praise and glorify God, as well as gain an understanding of God's word and teachings as it applies in our lives; to provide an open forum where young adults can meet regularly to discuss the various spiritual issues their age group faces; to provide support and fellowship while keeping in the work of the Lord; to motivate one another to maintain their walk of faith and continue to glorify God in all that they do; to be a social group of positive influence, providing guidance, and direction towards purpose and self-discovery.

Welcome Ministry

This ministry provides a ray of hope, a smile, a word of encouragement, a warm embrace and proper direction to all who enter HSBC. They serve as Greeters and provide a hospitable atmosphere for visitors and the church family.

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT MINISTRY

2019: This ministry’s   purpose is to encourage husbands and wives to have a closer relationship with God and with each other as well as enhance healthy marriages,   rescue troubled marriages and mentor newlyweds.
